Braxton shot a great 1 under 71 round on day 1 and followed it up today with a great 6 under 66 to win the 5A State Championship. He was on fire all day and almost led his team to a state championship.
Willard shot a 74 day 1 and a 72 day 2 to take 8th place over all in the state. He is a junior so we are happy to have him back next year.
It came down to the wire but the greens weren’t in our favor as we lost to the reining state champions from Skyline by 1 STROKE!!! All the participants represented the school well and showed we are a contender for years to come.
Braxton culminated his great golf season today with the Region V Individual Championship. Braxton was a model of consistency all summer and fall and lead his team to another Region Championship. Braxton will be signing to play golf at the University of Utah.
The Boys Golf team finished every region match in 1st place and claimed their 2nd region championship today at Hubbard Golf Course. They will try and beat their state runner up finish last year at Wasatch next Monday and Tuesday. Head up to the mountains to cheer them on.
The Phoenix will finish their last match of the season until the state tournament at Hubbard Golf Course on Hill Air Force Base.
